I've been laid off and have no problem being non-anonymous in reaching out to her. Guys, being too scared to speak up is what causes this perpetual culture of fear. The firm thinks they can sweep this under the bus and fully intends to, I don't want that to happen. People deserve to know.
SA 1, how do you use a burner phone number? I'm assuming you didn't go out and buy a phone lol (sorry excuse my ignorance, just v curious)

So annoyed by everyone blaming "leadership" -- additionally, significantly lower percentages of attrition mean that leadership is doing something right if people are wanting to stay (of course, I do feel really sorry for anyone who did get laid off and don't mean this post as a bigger dig)
PwC 3, wtf that's AWFUL. Did you only get 2 weeks severance too?
But I guess it's similar to what happened to me, I was a new hire from undergrad (as were many others who were let go)
And just to clarify... My post was about people blaming leadership for the layoffs not for how they handled the layoffs..

P6 I might be totally off here. But this is my logic. If the layoffs were caused by over hiring and we laid off people from the same class where we over hired, it's fair game, right? The definition of over hiring is that we got one person more than what we needed. So we cut one off. Now...bonuses are a completely different game because if you were an incumbent and busted your ass off, getting your bonus diluted by a poor managerial decision sucks.
No pwc5, you are dumb. And I don't have to be dumb to know you are dumb, if I was dumb then you would be smart if I called you dumb. If you are dumb then I'm smart if you call me dumb.
So it doesn't take one to know one.

Was the attrition rate super low because significantly less people left the firm or because significantly more people were hired? For PwC (and even ACN) it was definitely the latter, don't know much about D's recruiting practices though

So the reporter publishes an article proving what? We already know everything we need to know... Information is going one way and to serve what purpose? Anyone who cares is a) not leaving their firm in fear of they're still there or b) stop applying it they're looking for a new job. So what exactly does this do for anyone again? You want answers but you're asking fb to share their woes in which case we have already all heard..
