You don't need to throw shots at ID attorneys especially when you've failed the bar twice.
A3 is telling you hard truths, OP. Don’t lash out just because you don’t like it
I’m in house ID, I have no billables and make 200k w bonus fully remote. You can hate all you want lol.
What carrier?
$50 per hour isn’t bad, he needs to be paying you based on how much you work, not what billables he accepts or not.
Otherwise don’t do contract work for him.
Not generally. Might help open some doors if you wanted to slip in house but it could take a few years.
Usually it’s in-house attorneys who are looking to slow down and want something chill/more relaxed who move towards contract mgmt.
Not a career ended like some claim, but not a career booster either, unless you legit don’t have a job at all.
You're a law clerk. We pay ours $15 or $16/hr.
I agree.
You have already posted about this. And maybe you'd make more if you knew grammar.
No thanks, I'm a grownup
If you learned grammar, you might be in higher demand….
You sound like a boomer
Get the bar handled and move. You’ll be fine. Hang in there.
Yeah this OP sucks. Seems to be the consensus and I agree
I second this
Maybe try to apply some better paid jobs?
This seems like an odd pay practice for an hourly employee. Does your total pay in each week add up to the state minimum wage x the total number of hours you worked (not “billable” hours, but the time you actually did stuff)? Also, do you work more than 40 hours a week ever (again, actual work hours)?
No one said ID attorneys have it worse than you.
You are doing great what country is that Counsel ?
