Does anyone just not care anymore? At all? About anything? I don’t feel like doing any work. If I get fired, fine. If I have to move back in w my parents, fine. If I deplete all my savings, fine. Ppl are dying, fine. Global depression, fine. I’m numb. I straight up just don’t care about anything anymore.

Deloitte Tax folks please help. I was in the process of interview with tech team which was put on hold for Covid. The whole recruiting team was responsive till July mid and today when I was following up all of their emails bounced back as undeliverable. I am fearing that they were laid off and I was not notified. How to contact the recruiting team back? Anyone has any idea?

Question for everyone out there, I am a business analyst and thinking about exploring new career opportunities. What are the thoughts of the job market right now for folks who are currently employed? Is it smart to try and look for a new job right now in this climate, or should I wait it out until post Covid? I feel like I might be one of the first ones let go if I go elsewhere, and I know that many people are looking for jobs due to Covid related layoffs.

I’m expected to answer my emails if work needs me no matter the day or time. It feels like I’m working 24/7. Has anyone been fired for putting up boundaries and sticking to them?

Sorry for the long rant, but could use advice or just encouragement.

Got laid off for the first time in my career 3 weeks ago. I have 10 years of PM experience (mostly ecommerce & experimentation). I was fortunate in the past to have had recruiters scout me directly so this is the first time in over a decade that I am applying to everything that I’m qualified for, mostly qualified for, and way over qualified for with zero leads. Only 3 interviews thus far that didn’t go forward.

Other struggling to find work? I graduated law school in 2018 and have had such a tough time. I started out at a boutique firm, but was laid off in Oct 2019 due to a restructuring decision. After months of searching, I finally landed another position at a boutique firm only to get laid off again one month later due to the pandemic. I look for work daily and have had a handful of interviews, but nothing has stuck. It’s difficult to handle the rejection and I just don’t know what to do anymore...

I was fired for missing deadlines for 1. A response to a motion that hadn’t been filed (still hasn’t) 2. Writing a difficult petition in 24 hours after another associate took 6 days to submit a blank form. Both times deadline was missed by less than 2 hours, while hospitalized (I have a disability). He knew of the hospitalization and said “he didn’t care about the reason I needed more time.” He came to my hospital room to get the company computer and no other attorney was fired. Is this fair?

Recently started in-house from private practice, a few months in. New company has had 2 rounds of layoffs since I resumed. I’m getting nervous. Should I be looking to jump ship?
