Current TC: 88k (83k base, 5k performance bonus), 3 YoE. Healthcare specific domain consultant. Looking to get into strategy work. Offer at strategy firm is 95k base pre-negotiation . Is this worth jumping over for? Tips on negotiating higher? For reference, manager level at my firm pays 95k base and if I stay, that would take 3-4 years for promo. Thanks for any advice!

I currently work as an APM at a FAANG company but recently received an offer to join an MBB. I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). Considering that I currently work 40-60 hours/week, I’ll be making significantly less per hour at the MBB. I landed my first job in tech as an IT Analyst. I want to be a Project Manager, do you think it’ll be hard to make a transition to Project Management.

I am moving to Bangalore the next weekend, by 17th July. Seems there is a slight increase in covid cases, would it be better to come now or should I ask my manager to come to office after some weeks once everything seems fine?
