Staying at the Ritz and STR in the Maldives so expecting good service and reading mixed things about tipping. I usually don’t tip much at hotels (never really thought about it) but what do people do? Is there an expectation and would the amount be based on like room rate or just a flat daily per day?

Traveling to DC for 4 days. Looking for Marriott with parking and maybe concierge lounge functioning. Anyone use a Marriott recently they can recommend?

Worth getting the Marriott bonvoy credit card with the 100k points bonus? Annual fee is $95. Already have CSR.

Need 6 Marriott nights to titanium (spend doesn’t matter). 1 - would any hotel manager cut you a deal? (Ie if 6 nights is 60k; let me pay 30k and get the nights and I won’t use the room?); 2 - where are cheapest Marriott hotels? I found 10k per night in burbs of Chicago? 3 - would any cheap Marriott let me run this scam remotely? (Ie call Abilene Texas, check me in without my showing up)

Hi everyone! Can anyone tell me what you make as a typical banquet/events manager for salary or per hour? I’ve worked for Marriott/Bonvoy at the Ritz and for the Curio Collection with Hilton as a bartender/server/banquets captain. Now I’m working for a privately owned hotel and as a manager role in Banquets/Events. Because of pandemic times, what is everyone else making?

What is the tipping etiquette on the free platinum breakfast in a JW Marriott? The server just gets coffee / orange juice and you serve yourself. It is an overpriced buffet that I would never dine in.
