Best divorce lawyer in NYC?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I’ve had the status for 8 years… I echo a lot of people in saying it’s not worth it to go out of your way. If it happens organically, fine, but please don’t pay extra for it. Life is so much bigger than a crappy suite at a Marriott.
Depending on the number of nights - get a Marriott credit card for him and/or book a nice surprise holiday where y’all are staying at Marriotts.
No other way to do it, and also he’ll need to have met the spend requirement.
Worthless status, had it since 2018. I am stretching for titanium this year as that is plenty.

It’s not worthless… but the informal benefits are the major ones. I’ve gotten some pretty amazing suite upgrades from it (again, informally, hotel was being nice due to my status) and also appreciate that Marriott gives an any-time cancellation policy to Ambassador members.
I’m losing it in 2023, too. Haven’t traveled for work since Feb 2019, sadly. Still got Plat from personal travel (which I do a lot) + credit card bonuses and that’s the critical tier. I’m aiming for LT Plat.
But suite upgrades are not “informal”, it’s a defined benefit. And “any-time” cancellation is definitely not an Ambassador benefit - read many cases to the contrary.
