Been in my current role for like 7 months, but a role I’ve always been interested in my old company came up and I think I’d have a good shot, but I don’t want to leave my current role for another year. I want to apply to create the relationship with the team for next year (but wouldn’t join regardless of interview outcome), is this a bad idea? Would I potentially burn bridges with the interviewers?

I'm currently two interviews in for an Associate role at Blackrock. What should I be expecting in terms of total comp (Boston area)? Additionally, how long does the interview process typically take?

Question for Private Wealth Mangers, I have my s65 and 66. My company won’t pay for my s7 and I want it to do more then just financial planning. I’m worried companies won’t take me seriously if I start applying elsewhere and I don’t have my s7. Any help / advice would be appreciated!

What is normal for a recruiter to ask you? I'm talked to one for the today who's already called me three times. She also was passive aggressive with me not responding to her email, when I told her I had another interview before then before she made that comment. She also asked for the names of the companies I'm going on second and third rounds with - is that normal?
She's a recruiter for a firm so she's sending me positions at different companies.

I interviewed with Citi's internal audit last week and they said after the interview was over I would hear back next week. So far, crickets. I kind of need a job right now. The jobs site still says "business review" as far as application status goes.

Extremely toxic work environment & interviewing for other jobs. Would you 1) risk being fired (unsure when) or 2) quit/give notice and risk not having an offer fast enough? My finance is set and I’m primarily concerned about professional reputation. Been trying to break into climate tech startups (I originally wanted to be in IB but we know how that goes) for quite some time... I Received an offer at BofA as a senior auditor, which is even further from my career goals, but it pays about double what I make now. Should I take it or keep applying to jobs? Having 1-2 years of BofA on the resume would help me for the next job and I could really use the salary bump, but I’ll miss being fully remote and audit sounds miserable

Interview for FA intern: Was knocking it out of the park. But they asked me a diversity question I was not prepared for: Told me to tell them about a time that i didn’t agree with someone and still listened. Military Exp: Told them about a gay soldier that came up to me that they felt uncomfortable and wasn’t sure if they should let anyone know and i told them that they should come to work as themselves. I did clarify i said for clarity i disagree with them not being themselves.

How often do you switch jobs? I was in a job for 10+ years, got layoff, then switched to another one for 1 year (left due to company instability) and landed on my current job (a start-up). I think it finally hits me hard on my pay cut and am thinking if it’s a good time to look for another job now. With 2 short-term jobs (both for 1 year) would that really hurt me when I go on interviews?

Thoughts on working in trading? I know virtually nothing about it. I applied for an “analyst- trading” position and got an interview for next week. Currently in sales and debating a switch.

Could I get some feedback. i interviewed for this AML analyst role for which I was referred to by a friend. I went through 4 rounds of separate interviews and they all went extremely well, I was very confident that I would get the job but today I got an email saying I didn’t get it. I was extremely disheartened to hear this as I believe I showed more than enough competency for the role.
Any advice or feedback from someone who has been rejected for a role they were qualified for ?

Lol my interviewer (CFO) scheduled the interview today at 6:30 and has the audacity to not join the interview zoom and did not even give me a heads up that he will be late.

Looking for advice…I currently make $85k + 35% bonus. I’m interviewing for a job that I now know pays $70k + 15% bonus. Obviously that’s a steep cut. The only reasons I’m still interested are that it’s in crypto operations which I’d like to transition to, and it’s back on the east coast closer to family. We want our daughter growing up with them around. Any thoughts on negotiating a higher salary? Or, any experiences on taking a pay cut and what went into your decision to do so? Thanks!

After several rounds of interviews, I was offered a position with BOA. They will be conducting a background check and Im curious how a simple assault charge on my background from 2010 will affect my ability to progress in the process. (For context, I was in a domestic situation where my roommate attacked me and I retaliated and threw a plate at spaghetti at him..long story short, we were both taken in and charged. I plead guilty as part of a plea) TIA for any insight!
