Is it acceptable to apply to multiple positions at large firms (ex. big 4)?
It feels like Im waiting a few months after applying to a position until I get a rejection. So would it be okay to apply to more than 1 position at a time instead of waiting?

how do i format my description of what i did in certain jobs in interviews? i have trouble knowing what exactly to say and what to focus on from my past experience. i don’t want to repeat what’s in my resume but be able to speak abt it differently

a little background: interviewing for a it/data strategy position with healthcare/data consulting experience

What do you guys do when a job application asks for salary expectations for the position?

I really want to work at EY. I’ve applied and interviewed now twice in my life and not gotten the job - always because I don’t have enough experience in what the job entails based on feedback given (I’m applying for jobs not in my school major or current role experience but it’s what I want to do). Would it be better to just make a lateral move to EY in what I do now and then try to pivot internally? Is it hard to do that once you are hired in a certain position?

To the folks who moved to US on L1A, can you provide what was your role before (SA/M/SM/D) and how many people reported to you? I understand reportees change with projects, how did you come up with that number.

Those who have transitioned into healthcare consulting after 35, what role/position did you hold before making the jump?

What does hiring look like at MBB right now? I’m at EY currently, and everything is getting cut in prep for Everest/the economy.

I applied to a Cloud Principal position at McKinsey. It is part of the former Candid Partners org, now under McKinsey.

What exit opportunities should I expect if I was a Capital Projects Consultant in Protiviti?

My close friend has his BS in finance and worked in car sales since graduation (~3 years work exp). He has been making significant cash in the industry but worries of stagnation so he’d like to exit into a corporate role. Any suggestions in terms of roles where his skill set may be leveraged?

Anyone know of good companies for a data scientist that aren’t on a hiring freeze? Or should I wait until mid 2023? Possibly looking to exit if I can’t get of the bench already. My project just fell through (which took 1.5 months to get) and can’t take another month on the bench. Im in NY, finishing my master’s in May so I could go for 0-2 YOE.

Asking group wisdom for spouse - Works in procurement for established firm in a priority sector as an individual contributor (total comp - $120K, equity - $10K) and is excited about offer to join a start-up at a manager level in an emerging sector (base 150K but no bonus, sign-on equity - 5k units). Start-up has ~100 FTE and raised Series D recently with ~800m valuation. New role will require in-person work (vs WFH in current role) and might impact WLB. Should she take the offer?

London or Dubai for better exit oops?

Current MBB w 2 years experience in Dubai, thinking of exit to corporate/VC/PE in the next 1-2 years, also have the opportunity to move to London MBB office. Should I stay in Dubai for the remaining years and get more on comps or should I move to London for better exit opps (UK experience/networking) but get paid much less?
Do not want to stay in Dubai for the long term but do want to save up Dubai money to buy a house in London later - thoughts?

Hi, I am in my first project as an analyst. Is it normal for your project end date to be advanced? My role was supposed to end Dec 23, and was advanced by my supervisor to Nov 30th. No explanation, I ask my supervisor and said she was trying to find me a new role within the project but nothing sure yet. Should I begin to look for roles elsewhere? Thanks
