Hey all- I feel like I have always seen conflicted suggestions on when to leave and what position to leave for. I am an S2 (manager promo would be next year) making 80k in MCOL in audit. I have an offer for a senior accountant position with equity grant at hire and 100k base, no annual bonus. I feel like the base increase is more than I thought I could get, but is that true? Do I need to look for a different position in industry, or do I need to stay until manager? Any thoughts much appreciated

I had an interview with 2 senior managers last week for an industry position and it went super well. All behavioral questions. I have an in person interview this week with a director of the group and will be shown around the office. Would you expect this one to be harder or more like trying to figure out if you are a good fit for their group like the previous one? Don’t have any background on what the interview will be like and I really want the job! Any advice would be great.

Has anyone exited consulting so a senior finance manager role in tech? Not sure I want to keep doing strategy and have good background in finance, but worried that salaries will be significantly lower than the usual bizdev/ S&O consulting exit. Would love to hear some stories of people who have made this type of switch. TIA!

Is anyone very afraid of graduating from mid-level to “senior?” I feel like the lateral market is not as great for seniors and looking to lateral at years 7+ seems like you are just leaving bc you won’t make partner, and if you do leave the partner clock starts all over again. Are there better exit options as a senior from litigation to in house?

Wanted to know if going from at Analyst at Deloitte to Senior Associate at KPMG was feasible. I have 1.5 years of experience working in a SOC before joining Deloitte. I wanted to come in at the consultant level but the recruiter insisted on coming in as an analyst. I have been at Deloitte Cyber for a 1 year now & it has not been a good fit. So 2.5 years of cyber experience & a Masters in CS from elite school… is it feasible I try for a Senior Associate role at KPMG in cyber?

Now in my new org do I need to admit it like I don't have real time experience in spring as I am getting calls from various projects and they are asking me on which technology I had worked.

How do I find the salary range of a Senior Program Manager - Talent Assessment role at Amazon?

Looking for advice: A manager referred me to a senior knowledge analyst role at BCG and a recruiter reached out to schedule a first round interview but after rescheduling twice has ghosted me since November:( I was really interested in the opportunity and I’m somewhat bummed that she won’t respond back to any emails (2). Hi all! I just got a Senior tax associate role in industry ($85k, MCOL; 17% more than I currently make). Enjoyed the people I interviewed with; my only hesitation is that the company itself has had a rough couple of years (healthcare company, had a few bad acquisitions that they’ve since shed off). Their busy season is just January and early February, with their team working until about 7 PM during the week and a few Saturdays. I’m interested, but it’s also my 1st offer; what would you do?

I'm close to accepting a role as Sr. PM / Engagement Manager for a large SI's Msft Practice in the upper $100K range. But just got a call from a recruiter at a Msft Gold Partner who, when I said I'd be looking for $200K+ literally answered "that wouldn't be a problem, we are desperate to fill this position". Should I accept 1st role and interview for 2nd? (start date is weeks out)
