A senior for 6 years?! I’ve only seen one fourth year senior who then left. Unless it’s related to their certification I would say they won’t be around much longer
I didn’t know that was an option but as a senior, I cannot comprehend lol
Can you clarify OP? Been a senior for six years? Or been in PA at the firm for six years?
Assuming you’re still at KPMG, there must be an advisory role they could transition to? I’d assume someone would have to be counseling them “in” pretty hard; unless they are absolutely clueless about other non-cpa mandatory roles.
Coach out = unusually harsh formal performance evaluations
Not me reading this having a panic attack because my managers act like this…
Not totally relevant but I have worked with 2 seniors at my old firm (GT) who have been seniors for a decade (lack of certification to be promoted to manager).
I’ve seen this at a national firm, but I don’t think it was a PIP. It seems like it’s folks that don’t have their cpa, and then they just continue to ride it out because they know the job really well and have the same clients.
