What is average salary for a project manager in TX (Austin) with 3 years experience working at a mid sized ad agency? I got an offer for $60k. Glassdoor is showing a wide range for this position…

Some job boards go CE what they call their own estimated salary range for jobs. Any idea whether these estimated ranges are at all accurate?

I am worried that I will be out of a job at the end of the year. Looking for advice on my next steps.

The company I work for was purchased by a larger company at the start of the year. We were given a bonus at the start of the year and promised another bonus if we stayed on until the end of the year.

I don’t care what your title or position is, take 5 minutes to learn how to use PowerPoint, keynote, google slides or whatever presentation tool you are using at a basic level. If a presentation specialist or graphic designer has already created the deck, respect their time, use common sense and follow the rules established.

And for the art directors that have to concept, comp, do deck design and then clean it up again and again, major respect as well.

If you tell your agency that you received an offer to see if you’ll receive a counteroffer, are you expected to reveal who the offer is from and salary details? Or should you just tell your manager you’ve received an offer?

How does one transition from senior associate to manager? I think I’m short-handing myself (salary wise) bc I don’t 100% understand the big picture of media planning. I get recruiters messaging me for mgr roles. How does one go from taking/following directions to giving recommendations + talking to clients? Do I need to 100% know the ins and outs of media planning to be a manager?

Shouldn't recruiter phone screens just be about nuts and bolts like salary, availability, etc? I'm always a little puzzled on the occasions when a recruiter asks me to lay out my creative process for them. Why am I explaining how to make ads to a recruiter?

I am an immigrant copywriter who still converts currencies while making buying decisions. Trying to figure out what my salary should be. Started as an intern, hired as a junior, and promoted to strategist this past February.

I have an MS in mass comms. What salary would you ask expect to be compensated with? 5 months in current title.

How much is too much when pushing for a raise? I’ve been in my position a little over 1 year, received top scores in my annual review, kept my team intact, yet I’m paid at the lowest salary band for my level. Manager has said multiple times she would look into a raise for me but nothing has happened. Person before me in this role was earning +$17K than me. How many times do I have to ask?

At what point should we stop going back and forth on salary negotiation with a recruiter? And is it a bad sign if we’re consistently going back and forth?

I've been fortunate to receive 3 written offers. Do I take a higher base (95%), lower bonus (5%), hybrid or lower base (80%), higher bonus (20%), remote? Plus, aren't bonuses taxed higher? Each are close in total package range ($250k), benefits, WLB, etc. Concerned about relying so much on bonus given potential economic downturn. Although, the company has paid bonuses 100% since 2018.

Can anyone share their experience with getting raises at an agency? I'm a senior associate and I'm now making $55k. I have 3 years of experience and I feel like my salary is low. I don't expect to be promoted this year, but I do expect a raise especially with inflation as high as it is.

I’ve consistently heard you should stay agency side long enough to keep rising, get promos, higher salary and recognition and THEN move client side. I’m 29, and extremely interested in going client side now. If I make the move too early, am I leaving lots of money on the table down the line?

I’m making $180k right now as an ACD, got a raise from $170k earlier this year. Now with this promotion, what should I ask for or expect? This is at a small-ish agency, but they have huge clients.

I just offered an intern a full time position as an account coordinator with a starting salary of $50k. They have only been an intern for 2 months and have no prior experience. They acted like $50k was a huge slap in the face. Am I crazy for thinking $50k is reasonable for entry level in Toronto? I am not authorized to negotiate so they will have to take it up with HR, but I am still just shocked at the reaction. Please tell me if I’m totally out of touch!
