How do people feel and/or approach salary transparency with colleagues?

It’s nice to have those open conversations with people/colleagues I’m close with. But the fear of offending someone always exists to ask the Q.

Are there any companies that give annual bonus's or is that an urban legend from childhood?

Senior leader resignation tips? I landed a brand side role with a big pay bump / benefits 🥹 Am currently in a leadership role at an agency reporting to my ceo.

Am considering offering 3 weeks notice given my relationships and reputation with the agency, my growing team and our largest clients. I don’t think my ceo would fire me on the spot or can match salary/benefits, but he will be very upset.

Any tips to navigate resignation?

In case anyone needs to hear this: if a recruiter asks you what your current salary is and you don’t share it and they ask you why and tell you it’s so they have your best interests in mind, that’s certainly not the case. It’s usually the exact opposite - they want to cap your desired salary for that role by using your current salary as a reference point that works against you.

Anyone know what life is like at OMD especially in todays economic climate? Entertaining a interview at for a AD Analytics role as the pay would be almost a 70% increase from my current salary. Thanks!

Fellow writers, I had a quick question regarding what you charge / how you charge for freelance social media posts. The client says they would need 12-15 posts per month, and wondered what my rate would be. It’s a fairly vague request.

I’m new to freelancing, (and have an request to join the “WFH Freelancers” Bowl pending before I’m told to post there), so I’m wondering if you’d charge an hourly rate, a flat rate per post even though the time / effort may vary, or a monthly retainer? Thanks!

Good Salary for jr account executive with 10 years admin and project management experience?

Is there usually room to negotiate salary when you are promoted? If so how much up can I negotiate? Tips?

Currently work in NYC, just got an offer to work at an agency in Paris. My only hold-up is the offer is half of my current salary. Has anyone here made this jump before? Did the value of the experience outweigh the drop in pay? Would having that on my resume help me get better jobs in the US later?

Interviewing for an account executive position at a marketing agency and they are asking for a salary range following my initial interview. I was making $62k at my last job which seemed severely underpaid, especially in Los Angeles. I would be fine with $85k but would definitely be more comfortable with around $92k. Does anyone have insight of what the best response of a salary range would be?

I don’t want to under ask but I don’t want to lose the opportunity by asking for too much.

Is it just me but are recruiters/hiring managers updating job postings to include salary range since this became the law? I've had to withdraw some applications because postings are being updated. I'm happy for the insight but kind of bummed that a few jobs I've been interested in, won't work for me after all.

Job postings in New York State now require employers to include salary ranges. It’s already been pointed out that companies are listing ridiculously large spreads (sometimes as large as six figures). I don’t know the rules and regs around this, but I suspect there’s a degree of low-balling going on. Saw an in-house CD role for a major corporation today that supposedly topped out at $110K, for example.

My agency wants to offer me a salary of $14 is that enough?
