I’ve just passed the final interview for a Business Development Manager position for SaltPay, UK. Does anyone know of the commission structure, KPI’s etc to expect? We didn’t get a chance to discuss it in my other interviews (it’s been a very quick process) . Would love to hear any insights you might have in the company. Thanks!

Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.

Any stock traders use TurboTax? I honestly thought my capital gains was going to be worse because of the wash sale rule. The software calculates all of that once you put in the 1099 correct?

Do you still implement reference checks (on top of background checks)? I’m not convinced of the value add to the selection process and it takes a lot of time and resources

Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.

I have been tagged for this project that doesn’t start until June 10th. My utilization is going to drop significantly but at the same time the deployment team cannot present me elsewhere. Ugh!

Does PHR certification help in India, as this is globally recognised how much valuable is this currently in indian job market.

Do we got some good offers or its another certificate just to add to CV after so much of investment & time I don't want to get this wasted !!

Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?

I’ve 3 years of sales experience in retail ( reached 90k over target) and 2 years of digital marketing experience, I love selling and building connections with people, I want to join a Saas company and work as a SDR but keeping getting rejected due to the fact that I’ve no saas selling experience. Fellow enterprise tech sales fish, I’m interested to hear your perspective. I’ve been in a rut lately and seriously considering leaving sales. I think it’s primarily fueled by one thing:
After a 6 mo cycle I closed a large deal (4x the average deal size) prior to receiving delayed 2022 comp plans. The deal counts as a 2022 deal. On last years comp plan it would’ve paid out at 10%. This year it pays out at a measly 4%.

How do you/have you navigated your way through and out of these situations?

Advice or Book recommendations on how not to get bothered by others/ friends/ peers? What they think or what they do!

I've been working at this company for about 3.5 weeks now. Its been great so far.

We have an org chart in our dashboard ATS/HRIS and so I clicked on my first day buddies name just for fun.

I was able to see her entire employee file..even her address. I was really freaked out and I went to another profile and the same thing happened, I was able to see this person's emergency contact. Is this fucking normal? Should I say something and will I get in trouble for looking at a colleagues file?

I stand firm on not wasting my time applying for a job that doesn't post the salary with the job description, anyone else do this? I feel like anytime I have interviewed for a job that didn't post the salary, they end up lowballing me during the offer phase.

Hi ME 🐠s! Would like to know a bit regarding Business Analyst roles in MBB, T2 / B4 firms in UAE. I come from a target school in India (say MBB / T2 hires from my college every year) with ~1 YOE in consulting - based in Dubai. Would the stated firms consider me for a BA role (lateral hire as an experienced BA)?

Anyone been able to work from Dubai for a UK/US firm and benefit from no taxes? I know if you are a US citizen you pay taxes where you are globally, but if you are British, then you only pay income tax on UK income - so if you live more than half the year abroad you are classed as non-domicile resident, but wanted to hear if anyone’s done this or heard about it?
