I started interviewing with a company back in January but they were taking while to make a decision so I put them out of my mind. Fast forward to last week and I found out that I’m newly pregnant. Now, I was offered the job. I don’t know what to do! I hate my current job and this new company seems like a better fit. Do I tell them before I accept the role? I know it’s very early and anything could happen with this pregnancy but I’m torn. Advice would be so helpful!

How long do you typically allow for self assessments and manager assessments for year-end? This year we gave employees a week and managers 3 weeks (holidays not included), but they still said it wasn’t long enough even though most waited until the very last day to complete them.
When a partner sends back your doc with tracked changes, should I do anything more than accept changes and proofread again? Seems like I am constantly just volleying minor changes back to them.

What are some best practices for handling an employee with dare I say, too much initiative? They tend to steamroll others and processes because they are so fast at their job and rather than taking a breather when done, start digging around for new projects outside of their scope. We value them but want to ensure others are given opportunity to thrive too.
Does anyone have any creative ideas on what my company can do for May Mental Health month?

For those who consistently donate to people in need, approximately what percentage of your post-tax salary do you donate in a year? I'm just curious where I am relative to my peers. It looks like this year I'll be donating ~2%. I haven't been working long so I definitely donate more than I have in the past. I also don't always make donations that are tax deductible. Please no contrarians or people telling me I should put my money in the stock market/savings. :)
I love my firm and here for the long run. But the current (long term) project is not adding any value and managers are passive aggressive. They won’t let me go because I am a top performer. Help

Leaving consulting and the gruesome hours for a 40% base increase in industry (20% if count promotion but promotion hasn’t been announced). I feel like my co-workers are either judging me or trying to justify their decisions to stay until whatever the next levels they are aiming for. Is it still that stigmatized to prioritize personal life, physical health, and mental health over hustle culture? Why stay when the company could care less if, god forbids, any of us drop d/ad right now?
Do some employers actually cover your MBA costs after-the-fact if you decide to break your sponsorship with your current firm and switch to them? How feasible is it to obtain that?
