Please comment photos of your home office or WFH setup! I’m finally getting my own room to convert to a home office, but I’m sick of looking at unrealistic online photos for ideas. Don’t care if your space is organized or messy or whatever, I just need practical inspiration!
Worked w a partner a few times. Told him I’m available for more work, but he hasn’t followed up & it’s been a while. Today he popped by my office and goes “I haven’t forgotten about you” Cont..

Finance lawyers, I’m a mid level suffering from imposter syndrome. While I generally understand financial covenants, it recently occurred to me that I have no clue WHY certain ones are included, or how they’re calculated. Like, why EBITDA instead of EBITDAX? DSCR or liquidity? Do I even know what I’m talking about?? Any good resources you’d recommend?

I’ve worked in house for my whole career thus far. I’ve never worked in Big Law. I never wanted to and I never never understood why others did and do. If you work in Big Law, why do you do it? Will you always do it?
Does anyone else have to remind support staff to follow up on matters? I thought it was supposed to be the other way around. I don’t have the ability to fire, the person who can does nothing.
I’m a first year associate, so this question might seem really naive to older attorneys — what the heck is bill/hours padding? I’ve seen it mentioned on fishbowl but no ones ever talked about it at my firm. Is it literally just writing down more time over actually worked or is it always working like 2 minutes on 20 matters to catch a bunch of extra time. Isn’t hours padding just fraud at the end of the day?
How do you address getting a character and fitness affidavit when you leave on really bad terms with a prior employer? Let’s assume it’s to the extent that they ignore / refuse to sign it.
Any former public defenders out there that can suggest an area of law to transition to from a PD office? I know I don’t want to do family or personal injury. Any other suggestions? Thank you.

Question: Got out of school about a year ago. I’m 25 now. I started at EY September of 19 and opted for the standard 5% pretax in my 401k. I have cc debt and was wondering if its worth doing a withdraw to pay off my cc debt? Interest rates are pretty high too; 24-26%. Just want to get your thoughts?
