Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

At 29 weeks. What are the things to start doing now? Feeling a bit anxious about the closing D date. How can I be better prepared. Have already signed up for birthing classes in Sept and am doing prenatal exercises.

Did you do the NIPT? I just had my first prenatal appt and they scheduled me for the NIPT at 10 weeks. I’m a little nervous and anxious. Did anyone get it and got a false positive? Do you not recommend it? I wish I could ask family but we’re not telling anyone until the 12 weeks mark.

How is the WFH policy at TIAA.
1) Have they started calling back people to office?
2) Once the office resumes do we have the flexibility to WFH if we like?

Best resource to learn SQL?

Hello! What is the best way to structure a discovery call for SaaS sales? e.g. share a deck, only focus on their use case (current state, goals, pain, etc.), share a story, etc. Lastly, how do you go further than surface level, like if they mention they are having issues with xyz, which is usually a symptom of the problem and not the problem itself. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I’ve been a nursing assistant for 35 yrs I just got a new job as a Lead care manager working from home but this job is not what I expected I want to find a new job working in a hospital or doctors office as a receptionist or administrative assistant or something but I have little experience does anyone have any ideas they can help me with please thank you

I’ve seen quite a few people online talk about how digital marketing is dying or on its way out because of AI and other automation tactics. Is any of that true, or are people just overreacting?

How do y’all deal with people at work who are stuck on stupid? Like they have no idea what they’re talking about and they REFUSE to learn. It’s like they have a god complex or something even with proof, maybe bc of their tenure at the company? Even if there’s valid data backing up that they’re wrong. Maybe it’s bc I’m a type 8 enneagram, but it frustrates the hell out of me!
So any advice would be lovely :)

Off topic, Can anyone please suggest me how to prepare for AWS cloud job, my current project is not related to cloud, i have +2 years of production support in linux and currently holding aws practitioner certificate.

I am currently in industry, but was a Senior in Accounting Advisory, and before that an audit associate. I’m thinking of trying DDV at PwC as I’ve always been interested in M&A integration, but am unsure on carry over of skills and also would like to go somewhere I can be bumped to Manager as I was almost there prior to leaving industry. I know they are on a hiring spree so would coming in as a Manager be possible? I’ve previously been on M&A audit/AAS engagements.
