Anyone go from SaaS / licensing sales to services (strategy & implementation) sales?

I'm thinking of moving from large cap tech to large cap consultancy firm to help build the resume and round out my experience. I enjoy and do well in licensing, but I'm fairly young in my career (<6 years) and received a great offer to make the move.

Any firms adopted a remote/hybrid system permanently???? We’re back in office full time and omg I hate it so much.

I’m not naive or fresh out of law school, but I’m at a point where I’m saying to myself “Why can’t I have it all?” I’ve been offered a job for more pay and less hours and I keep thinking to myself, what’s the catch? I know people will say no promotion potential or that’s not how it works…but what if it could? What if you make yourself valuable by still setting your boundaries? Why would we resent someone who has that opportunity?

Is anyone a member of the SHRM Executive Network and do you see any value in your membership?

Advice on managing up / enduring toxic deal teams? I’m at the point where my stomach drops any time I see something come in from certain people. Everything is behind, client is unhappy, I’m exhausted and simultaneously being micromanaged without guidance on big-picture/substantive issues. I keep trying to tell myself at least this is consulting and the project will be over... eventually...

What amount of money would it take for your current firm to retain you?

If an individual resides in CT and works in NY can we serve them in NY?

I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? For reference, the firm has a 1900 billable hour requirement and the partner said I would have “no problem” fulfilling that based on the work they have.

How long is acceptable to ask to decide on an offer, especially when another place you really want to work at is moving a bit slower? I know this question has been asked before but I feel like 2022 has been its own beast in the legal market and would appreciate any advice. Thank you!

My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. We plan on having kids within the next year or two, and it’s highly u likely that she’ll be able to keep her current gig. We want to find a career that allows her to work remote or that at least gives her a better work life balance so that she can see her kids grow up. Should she get certifications to give her a shot at adtech?Too late?

Hello, I recently was reached out to by an in-house recruiter at a similar but slightly different company than the one I currently work for. The recruiter provided a base range and an OTE range. The lower end of that range is what I am currently making. The higher end of that range is almost 200k more than my current comp. The role is almost identical. I wasn’t looking to move, but that higher end range would set my family up very nicely for our goals. But I am happy at my current company. Help?

I’m having the hardest time finding a new job. I have 12 years of HR experience, a masters in HR, SHRM certification, and all I keep getting are rejection emails. In this field, when choosing a masters degree program is it more beneficial to get a degree in Human Resources to further my knowledge in HR (my undergraduate degree is in Economics) , an MBA, or Data Science Degree due to the fact that HR is becoming more data driven as well as get a PHR / SHRM-CP certification?

Our annual reviews are approaching & one of my direct reports has been with us for almost six years w/ little growth. My reco was to let him go & find a stronger, hungrier & more motivated designer at the same level. However, my boss instead wants us to promote him in hopes that will spark some motivation. I am not behind this decision & have voiced my multitude of concerns in promoting an employee who doesn't deserve it. HR is behind the decision! Thoughts on promoting an undeserving report?

Does anyone in here work exclusively with B2B enterprise marketing using paid ads on Google and Facebook?

I realized I've been a dummy for getting a job at a creative agency and not working on my portfolio. Most of the projects I've taken on, I've done so as a way to support others without taking much credit for it. Now, a better opportunity came along and I don't have anything to show for my talent as a designer. ALWAYS take credit for what you do, even if it's not your project to begin with.

Looking for some UGC gigs. I can do unboxing and demos. Rates start at $100 for a video, and $20 per photo. which is significantly lower than others in the market. Just trying to get more content creation under my belt. I specialize in social media as a director in a marketing agency, so I know what will perform.
