A few months ago I took a job selling internet service. Primarily, I work in the field, where I can make all my sales, but I have been kinda dipping a toe into reaching out to property managers via email. So, i have been trying to write a BASHO email template and I am hitting a wall. It’s hard to personalize it as a lot of the people I reach out to have no social media or are super hard to find. Basically what I have is Intro->benefit statement(one sentence)->CTA. Any advice?

A financial services client is asking me to be out sourced CCO for them. It’s not something I can’t do I just don’t hold them as honest people and in high regard. I worry about my liability of them messing stuff up. How do I stay as their counsel but decline the CCO liability.
I had multiple interviews with a few different people at prospective company. External recruiter says that the most recent interviewer (boss) is extremely excited about me and said “it couldn’t have gone any better”. He also sets the final interview with the ultimate decision maker for later next week.
The person I interviewed with then emails me to say they really enjoyed speaking with me, but to be patient as they still have more people to interview before they decide on next steps…
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.

Is your salary based on billable hours? Or actual revenue? I’m a 9th year at an insurance defense firm. I’m billing ~1850 hours a year, making $100k. Very high cost of living area in south Florida. My billing rate is $160 per hour. I asked my boss for a raise yesterday and he said I need to be billing 180 a month (2160 per year) to get a raise, but wouldn’t say how much of a raise I would get. He said my collectibles are low, apparently the insurance carrier cuts everything across the board.

A niche practice team from a smaller firm joined my firm recently (2 partners + 5-6 mid to senior associates, which in strict numbers is very small compared to our practice), and they’ve brought with them what I consider a very toxic culture. They’re abusive towards our juniors and disrespectful towards other deals’ priorities, which is incredibly offensive to many homegrown lawyers. I just don’t understand why if they lateraled over they aren’t even interested in adapting?
