With regards to bonuses, at 2100 hours/yr, the firm I have an offer with offers bonuses 2x yearly. Does this mean going above and beyond, or hitting target hours as it sounded? I’d assume above/Beyond

I am injured party in an accident and finally settling my injury (minor) claim. However, I am going through separation proceeding with my wife and she is not willing to sign a release. I have asked the at-fault party to settle without release from my wife and I am not issuing General Release. They want release from all claims and also a release signed by my wife. Can they ask for it? Shall I accept it or file a court case? I am giving hold harmless document for statutory liens. cntd in comment..

I’m a first year lawyer and I was hired by very prestigious firm about 2 months ago. Been working remotely for the last month. I feel like ever since day 1 I’ve been treading water. I have years of experience working at law firms, but now as an attorney I feel like a little kid in the major leagues.
