What are some best practices for handling an employee with dare I say, too much initiative? They tend to steamroll others and processes because they are so fast at their job and rather than taking a breather when done, start digging around for new projects outside of their scope. We value them but want to ensure others are given opportunity to thrive too.

I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.
Any strategies or resources you could recommend for getting rid of the dreaded annual performance review (or at least lessening the dread) and creating a more effective year round performance feedback system? Our review is currently tied to our end of year bonuses and merit increases, so not sure I could get rid of it entirely. This would be for hourly and management employees, all working on-site.

I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. To Pwc fins, what bonus would a manager in cloud consulting expect / how does this offer stack up to what you'd expect? Base offered is 160 with a 10k signing bonus, so not sure what I should expect TC wise or how negotiable that is. 6YOE in technology consulting.
Career help: I’ve been in PA at a top 10 firm for about 15 months, and for nearly 7 months, I’ve been in TAS/FDD/Deals. I’ve been applying to big 4 and other top 10 firms FDD groups but I haven’t had any luck. I’m looking to make a change for compensation reasons. I believe I’m personable and I have experience leading an engagement already. No CPA, on the west coast. What am I doing wrong? Do I just need to chillout and wait until I have a few more months of experience?

Got an offer for $220k base, 20% bonus, $40k RSUs, and $25k sign-on in NYC and almost 7 YOE. I feel like I can’t do any better than this so do I even bother negotiating? If I did negotiate, where should I push for more?
