Do seasoned enterprise reps actually think that MEDDIC helps the sales process? This is coming from the perspective that champions are undervalued and the economic buyer in a F500 company does not usually speak with vendors. The market here is developer tooling. Curious to hear thoughts as many sales leaders use MEDDIC as an inspection tool to manage sales reps with little practical value for deals.

Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?

Just venting. I’m tech, and many employees (like 85%) think that being a jerk is a badge of honor and their EQ is like at high school level, so talking to them about diversity issues is like banging head against the wall. They insist that any diversity hire is costing a job to another person with PhD. On top of it, another fancy thing to do in tech is to hate HR. So the conversations usually are like “Oh, you’re in HR, I understand now why you have such a stupid opinion”.

When an employee complains about their manager how do you address it?...The employee was not reporting any harassment allegations; it was the standard “I do everything and make my boss look good while my boss does nothing all day.” There is really nothing to work off of here and I don’t know how to respond other than “sorry that sucks” and “what do you suggest be done?”

How do your companies recognize technical (e.g., STEM) accomplishments? I’ve heard of old school things like fellowships and “Distinguished Engineer” titles. Wondering what other places do now. M here. Met a girl who's giving a lot of good signals/is flirty in person. We click well, but she doesn't initiate conversations over texts and when she does reply, the replies are bare bones, as though there's no chemistry. We're only 2 dates in. Do you ever "confront" someone over this? Like asking them if they're not a fan of texting or something? Or just let it go?
