Does anyone else question how they truly feel about this job? I don’t know whether I truly love it (some days I definitely do), whether I am addicted to the stress of being held hostage to emails and calls (kind of like Stockholm syndrome), or whether I am just doing this because I’ve invested so much time and money to get to where I am. Was there ever a moment where you settled and said “this is for me”. Would like to hear from more senior associates who have just doubled down on it.
How important is a personality test for a sales role, is this a very important criterion to decide on a candidate.
I recently did one and was the first time. The video interview before that went well and waiting to hear from HR.
Could somebody throw some light? Am a bit worried.
I have a team member who has a tendency to miss deadlines, is reluctant to take on tasks which they don't like or refuses to participate in company-wide mandates w/o me & the other team members validating the why's. Prior to joining my team, this behavior was alluded to but never told to me directly. Now I'm seeing it. I've discussed missed deadlines which are acknowledged but w/o permanent resolution. I'm going to give her a verbal warning in the upcoming review. Other suggestions?

Looking to transition from L&D to Human Resources focusing on DEI. Pros and Cons? Any feedback is welcomed.
I’ve been in TA for 10 years and have been wanting to be an HRBP for 2 years now. My prior company had no interest in helping me develop and started with a new company 4 months ago. I was transparent from the start that I wanted to leave TA and was told I could do that within my first year. I’m receiving signs that I’ll, once again, be pigeonholed in TA. I’ve done talent management, DEI, engagement, but my lack of direct BP experience and TA titles keep me pigeonholed. What can I do?
6 minute video from Harvard Business Review. Offering a few tips on how to find a mentor Happy search 😁
Graduated May 2021, been at a top tier firm since then. I was supposed to transition to associate after passing the bar (just took feb). Now I’ve found out I’m being let go, with a 4mo runway. Mainly because of conflict with Senior Associate. Any thoughts on possibility of getting hired at another top tier firm even though my bar results are not in? Partner said I shouldn’t have any trouble landing new job, but I’m technically not a lateral so idk how true that is. Would love some feedback.
People who have done (or know of people who have done) secondments: Have you had or heard of any bad experiences? I’ve been seeing mostly positive posts with doing secondments, but would appreciate any insight on bad experiences. Please share size of organization and industry. Thanks!
I want to get my masters in HR, but I also want to get my phr.. is it better to get one over the other? Or should I do both. Are there any masters hr program someone can recommend?
My mentee (class of 2021) graduated from a good school with decent grades but somehow ended up in a nonexistent CA market doing insurance coverage. I think he just panicked and took the first job offered. I’m trying to help him make a transition out to a primary market (I’m thinking SF/SV) and actually make money. If anyone has an leads or would be willing to meet with him please reach out.
Does anyone have favorite examples of company responses on Glassdoor? In addition, are companies responding on Fishbowl and if so, are there any best practices you've found or can share?

I have 3 year experience working at Deloitte Consulting and want to move on to a Sales role and Career. I currently make $110K, is this feasible comp to make starting out in Sales?. How can I learn about comp in your industry?
Besides the comp question, are there any resources/forums/books online that anyone can recommend that’ll get me a good understand of what to expect out of a sales role, different sales roles, how to succeed, build career, etc. Im starting from 0
I was asked to make a 30 60 90 for a sale. I feel like it's kind of basic and find my 60 and 90 slides are sparse. Anyone able to offer suggestions? Really appreciate it!!
Constantly worried I’m going to get fired because I don’t know where I stand at my mid sized law firm (second year associate).
Currently a transactional junior associate at a v10 from a non brand name law school. Thinking of applying to a top 1 year MBA (maybe Kellogg or NYU) to explore non law career angles. Would ideally like to work at a startup maybe as chief of staff/legal counsel blend? Has anyone done something similar and would the MBA provide any value add in terms of education, network, or not being pigeonholed as a lawyer?
Does anyone else work as an associate and get random assignments that seem impossible to be useful on? Every single assignment I ever do gets redone. It gets super discouraging and sometimes I wonder what’s the point of my job.
How do other women in sales deal with leaving their family for work trips? I've been in sales a long time but now I have a partner and an infant. My partner gets frustrated when I have to leave because we share all of the parental duties equally when I'm home and me leaving is very distruptive. How do others deal with this?
Lately I’ve been seriously considering making the transition to product marketing. Current PMMs please weigh in — on average, how many hours do you actively work in a day?
Extend my trip to get 24 hours in Oslo, Norway or not worth it? If it’s worth it, need recs on hotels, restaurants/bars, and things to do/see. Thanks!
I’m 23 weeks and recently my sleep has gone downhill: Waking up in the middle of the night, bad dreams, even some sleepwalking sometimes. Anyone else experience this? What’s helped? 🥱🥱😮💨
So was prescribed adderall last week, and went out last night for a friends birthday. Got absolutely hammered (not in particularly good way)

Happy Tuesday! I’m looking to make more connections in HR and was wondering if anyone would like to connect on LinkedIn? I would love to speak to some HR managers or HRBPs that wouldn’t mind sharing your journey/career path with me. My email is email@example.com and name is Helen Alston on LinkedIn 😊

Hi there! I’m a salesperson and I am looking to transition into MARCOM. I was wondering if anyone had some advice they’d like to share about how they successfully transitioned into this field. I know there’s a limited amount of characters to start a discussion, so I’d be happy to provide more details if necessary!
