Deloitte experienced hires, who all received written offers and in process of visa/ onboarding, have you heard back anything about hiring freeze? Or recruiter asked you to delay joining date?
My visa got submitted couple of days back and waiting for decision. When I reached out to recruiter to give her an update and mentioned once there’s decision will discuss on the start date before putting my 2 weeks, she mentioned “Yes, we should talk before you put notice” - Am I overthinking? Donate. Good karma. You can probably afford everything that those points could buy on earth already.
P.S. I can provide you my contact if I am the chosen one.
Transfer to airline for best value... u can get around 12 round trip business class flights or 5-8 first class round trips.... cashing it you would get ~ $10000 on amazon
Charles Schwab Platinum card
Cash it out straight to your IRA
Only costs 50k points and $100 for nonstop round trip NYC to Tokyo. So do that 24 times.
Donate them to a lowly associate like me
Quick addition, the points redeemed through the Schwab Plat are not taxable 😎
ANA and book united
You have to get a Schwab Amex platinun and a Schwab brokerage account. Once you cash the points to your brokerage account, you can transfer them to an external bank or to a Schwab checking account.
@D1-which airline offers that deal? Assuming you'd have to transfer to airline first?
Schwab platinum allows you to directly convert points to cash at 1.25cents per point if you cash to Schwab brokerage
I donate other things. Schwab looks interesting. Thank you. So I would need to get a Schwab account? And their credit card? I'll check it out
I feel like im back at the office... managing director ignoring what i say even though it’s a valid opinion... on my first answer, i said you will get the best value for your points by transferring to airline partner and seems like 10 people or so have agreed (or at least liked) my answer
Seems I would need a schwab account, which I dont currently have. And not clear if I would need the schwab amex, which I also obviously dont have
Wouldn’t that cost like $10k just to convert to say Delta?
its not hard to get a schwab acct and a schwab plat. + youll get 60k extra points. u can transfer the $ from schwab acct to any other bank account easily. $15750 aint bad. plz dont use it on amazon or statement credit. most value is in transfer to partners but requires you to search for bookings
Is the Schwab method only possible with Amex points?
Hmm. I really dont want to get a schwab amex platinum card just for purpose of a 1 time transfer. I would open a schwab account though. Agree on amazon transfer ...its crap. Any other thoughts?
DC1 maybe because you stated the obvious. You don’t mention which airline partners are the best, you say the amount of flights (but to where?), and amazon isn’t a good deal.
DC1. Not ignoring you! I understand and appreciate your answer. However, I am not in a position to take that many round trips. I am looking for other opinions. If I travel for leisure, I would look at this. But I have now 1.3 million points and am looking for a quick way to liquidate. I understand that quick ways, like amazon, dont offer alot of value. I have looked at gift cards, like home depot and barnes at nobles, that offer 1:1, but again, I cant use that amount!
Thanks again
What if I want to transfer points to use at American Airlines? AA is not an option for transfers :(
A1. 1. why not start your own thread and not hijack mine? 2. Transfer them to British Airways, then from there you can use the points with their partner AA
