What are you doing at B4 that ZS only offered you AC? You’ll have ~2 years to consultant. ~2.5 to Manager. Years to partner will be almost certainly higher than 8.
Also I don’t think we do a whole lot of strategy stuff. At the AC level you’ll very likely end up doing sales force sizing, optimization, segmentation type projects. Unless you’re bringing in a very specific skill set.
Lastly yes your exit opps will be limited to pharma. ACs is usually the last level at which you can still get a non-pharma exit (very often it’s MBA for them too). At C or above you will very likely be limited to pharma exits.
You're right on the timeline, but I disagree with the other parts.
We do a lot of strategy work - obviously team dependent, though. I've been focused on strat for more than a year now (I'm a C)
I'd also say that exit opps beyond pharma are very possible at the C level... Have interviewed with multiple tech companies over the past year and know others who've made the jump. Probably gets more difficult as an M

This seems something is off. You seem to be getting paid much less for a manager where you are. A more appropriate position I would imagine is a consultant at ZS and not AC.
AC to partner is an easy 9-10 years at ZS.
Tbh I pushed for it - all firms put me as post mba but they didn’t go for it at this office. I don’t know - tbh of my 6 YOE 3 are consulting the remaining in accounting so it’s not all consulting but I was given credit for the time
How are you only offered AC at ZS? AC makes like what? 110k?
How much are you getting paid at big4?
Lower title but almost same pay as C? That’s not bad at all
experienced hires can be promoted much faster. could go AC to C in one cycle if it's clear you're at that level. no promises, of course.
