Most people will tell you ketone test kits are highly unreliable. If you’re tracking your macros and staying at or around 20 grams of net carbs you’ll get to ketosis. It takes some time to get “fat adjusted”. This can range from a few days for some people to a matter of weeks for others. Just stick to the process and trust that it’ll work. You’ll start to see other signs that will show you’re in ketosis.
Thanks
Agree, it took me a bit to burn through all of my stores if glycogen become a fat burner. I also did not lose the weight as rapidly as others suggested I would. I was very strict my first year. After that I learned which foods I liked and what I could eat. Now I don't cook as much. I eat a lot more nuts and cheese, plus I love not having to cook so much. Some nights, dinner is a can of tuna and maybe some veggies.
The test strips/kits don’t mean a ton. Don’t lose sleep over them.
Agree - testing is kind of for fun. Wouldn’t get hung up on it if doing everything right.
Would recommend having some carbs if really mean zero by “none at all”
20-40 is fine for most and probably higher end for first few weeks.
Yh none at all. It has actually helped A LOT with my inflammation
