115k, 3 years in PA, HCOL
made pennies becuz 3 years was with covid. 84k in 2020 and 87k in 2021. but at 5 years in 2022 I hit $250k with bonuses. so yeah from 87k to 250k in 12 months lol.
250k possible if OP transferred to strategy&, but they don’t usually take accounting backgrounds without a mba
If it makes y'all feel any better, I graduated in 2007 (yea ...) so I immediately went to grad school. First job with Big 4 in 2010: $35k. There was a salary reduction of 40-50% in a year that took a long time to rebound. Just remember: it could always be worse lol.
My dad started at KPMG in audit at like 24k back in the 80s haha
66 -> 73 -> 81.5
That’s in line w/ my experience, and I’m expecting a real stinker of a raise/PBB that reflects how much time and effort I put into work next month.
Surely my firm will realize they’re almost $25k below market for seniors vs industry and come up to reality, but I have next to zero faith after last year.
My first job out of college I made 50k and thought I was a baller back in 2011
My job at PwC was for $54.5k in 2021. I was not a baller.
After bonuses this year, I’ll be around 90k. I’m in audit in a LCOL (no longer with BDO but still in PA)
After bonus 110k, took a year off before starting full time so 3 years out but 2 years of experience in tax
Just promoted to senior at GT in Philly so I guess HCOL also
64k - > 68.8k in audit. Now joining another company at 90k.
4 years out, $120k base, hcol
$114k with $10k bonus. MCOL.
2.75 yoe. Tax. I’m in IRS LB&I now.
95K
Assuming you stay in public, rule of thumb should be about 1.5x your starting salary at beginning of year 4, 2x starting salary as a manager and 3x as a senior manager
Typical big4 progression
Around 110k with bonus last year, don’t know what my raise is this year for another few weeks.
Graduated with masters in May 2021. Salary is $101k, bonus of $18.5k. MCOL audit.
Yeah sadly Consulting bums make more. But you have solid comp for an auditor.
$100k back in 2021 VHCOL
5 years after college and I'm at 80k. Senior 2. Too low?
Canada*
first 3 years starting in 2019: 50k > 51.5k (company halted raises and promotions in 20 + 21)
