companies open roles to recruiters almost always because they don’t want to spend the time or effort on the initial screening process. having an agency screen candidates increases the chances that the company won’t waste their time on duds in the interview process.
in short, often times your odds of landing a job that’s being worked by recruiters are much higher than if you were to apply directly to the company’s portal.
If you are qualified they will most likely get you the interview, and advocate for you because they get paid if you accept. That being said, they will push for you to accept the offer…like a realtor, they need to close the deal to get paid.
