Do it.
Agencies will want you for having worked there and you can start every sentence in meetings with, “When I was at Facebook…”
Do ittttt
I made the move brand side about 1.5 years ago and still have agencies knocking down my door. The people who created the narrative of "once you leave agencies you're gone forever" just don't like the idea of fair pay and fair hours, and are afraid of losing more talent to other industries than they already have. Get the bag, and get what's yours.
Also congrats on the offer!
Take it and bank it and never look back
Not true. I went in-house and have been contacted by 20 agencies over the last 12 months. Taken a few interviews but none have piqued my interest enough to leave. I’m doing good work where I am. Definitely depends on where you go in-house. But if you’re making good work, good agencies will still come calling. Times have changed.
No. Facebook is a big and well known brand. And you already have a decade of agency experience. You’ll have no trouble going back agency side if you take a job there. It doesn’t look bad on your resume at all. If anything it just makes you look more well-rounded. Take the job if you want it.
Yes, you can come back to agencies from Facebook. I've seen someone go to Facebook and then come back to a different agency with a big promotion too. It improved their reputation in the industry.
How much are they offering? Curious about going in house as well.
