A coworker of my cousin in Florida just checked JetBlue's price to fly to Boston ahead of the hurricane: $3800.

Capitalism

S2 that's a lie

Look it up if you don't believe me

It wasn't quite that high but definitely some surge pricing going on at the moment compared even to earlier this morning.

Surge pricing?

But you could get nuked so screwed either way

@SC1, West Palm.

$99

Yeah, I just read a story that JetBlue is capping ticket prices out of Florida at $99. Guess my cousin's coworker was spreading FUD.

There is a reputable news story about jacked up ticket prices. You might have seen it, about the one-way ticket from Miami to Phoenix on Delta going from $547 to $3200. The price was from Expedia. Neither Delta or Expedia have an explanation, but Delta stepped in and sold the ticket for $315.

Also a news article saying that Jet Blue capped all flights from FL at $100, including taxes. Apparently the bad press got around

Lyft driver delayed picking me up 30 min, resulting in me canceling my ride and asking hotel to call me a “yellow taxi” to get to the airport because it was 5am and all ubers/lyfts were 15 min. Specifically said yellow. Hotel calls me a private lux SUV and the driver got out of the car to handshake the man who called and said hi (honestly money couldve been passed). I then get hit with a $180 ride. Marriott website says taxi should be $65. Should I complain or let it go?

Is there a risk involved with this approach assuming your current employer doesn't provide you with a counter offer and they ask you to leave immediately (and your h1b visa hasn't been transferred either)
