A coworker told me this from their McDonald’s days during COVID.
Washrooms were closed to the public. A guy comes in, buys a drink, then asks to use it. They explain the policy, can’t allow it. He gets upset and just goes right there on the floor.
They had to shut everything down, deal with the chaos all because of a rule they didn’t even make.

Front-line workers really take the hit for policies like this. Ever been stuck enforcing a rule you didn’t agree with?

I have an H1b which I received in 2019 and was valid till august2021, due to covid I wasn't able to travel and then I switched to another firm last year in November. If I get visa transfer, will it provide me a validity back as I haven't used any on site time on that visa.

My partner and I are moving out of our condo building in NYC at month end, and the building management (not our landlord) has communicated to us that, on top of the 1K non-refundable fee and 1K security deposit to move out (stated in lease), they are also issuing a $1,250 "sanitization fee" for the public areas (hallways/elevators), since we happen to be moving out during COVID19. We feel this is taking advantage of tenants during this time and may not be legal. Any advice helps!
