Hi All,
After ED round of interview I got a mail from HR asking to submit few documents. In the mail HR has mentioned that I'm one of the shortlisted candidate and final selection is yet to be made. So how are my chances of getting an offer.
Is it something common that happens in JPMC.

Hi, I received offer letter from jpmc and accepted it. Today, HR told me that my offer was not processed since i had attended an interview and got offer from Mphasis for a JPMC client one year ago( which i declined later) . Could you please let me know, will it affect my current offer from JPMorgan Chase
Product Management at a large bank vs Business Analytics/S&O for FAANG? Recently started in the former role, but have interview calls for the latter just come up in my mailbox. Similar comp when adjusted for the different job locations. Can anyone help me with the Pros and Cons please. I know the roles are different, and so are the industries, need to understand difference career paths and difference in corporate cultures. JPMorgan Chase Google LinkedIn Citi

A few steps from a similar recent experience a family member
1. File a police report immediately
2. Contact home country consulate to request an emergency passport service. timing varies quiet a bit from country to country, but usually you can get an appointment within 24 hrs. Theyll want a copy of the police report plus photo copy of the passport
3. Contact cbp and inform them of this issue. Youll get a case number
4. Contact the nearest US consulte and request an emergency appointment - this is no different than stamping. They'll need the new passport to give you a stamp
Some additional steps to consider
- inform employer as soon as possible that due to this issue, I will be working remotely until resolved
- inform company immigration lawyers
- contact your trip insurance provider. If no trip insurance, contact credit card company. If your friend has a premium card like CSR or Amex, the insurance should cover any costs of extending their stay there and rebooking flights etc.
Good luck!
It can seem like the end of the world if you have to figure it all out when sh*t hits the fan. This is why scenario planning is so valuable to not just clients, but also our personal lives :)
Can the US consulate also print the existing visa or does that have to be applied again?
It will be a new visa.

Not the same fact-pattern but I had my wallet stolen abroad in Bangladesh which had my GC. After getting the police report, was able to get a RRV stamped into my passport. Since your friend lost his passport as well, he needs to start with a police report, then his embassy, and once all of that is sorted, perhaps USCIS may be able to help
Costa Rican here. You will need to go to the nearest OIJ office (police that investigates) to file a report so you can then take it to the US Embassy (check for opening times!) to get a visa appointment. Ask if they are taking third country nationals as the backlog for locals is extensive. They had paused this during covid.
Then you will need to get a travel document from your home country (assuming its not us since EAD was stolen) or similar.
Just be aware that because the passport had (assume a us visa) upon re-entry to the US they are most likely going to take you to secondary inspection once or twice after every reentry.
