A friend of mine is graduating in May with a Healthcare Informatics degree. She is really focused on joining United Heath Group/Optum. She wants to be a data analyst but is also open to other healthcare technology roles. Does anyone know of any roles for campus hires at UHG or other companies (maybe Siemens healthcare?) that are well suited for a Healthcare Informatics major?

What are the major differences between being a tax associate at a firm vs big four? Currently a state tax court clerk deciding what to apply to for next year.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me.
