This is my first time working with a client using the COSO framework. Before elevating my inquiry to my seniors, I would like to confirm my understanding of how this exercise works.
Prior working papers are telling me that client should establish its compliance with the five components of the framework, correct? How rigid should I be in performing this?
To be fair, I was provided with a reading material but it’s a pretty hefty read.
Thanks for any responses!

New to Fishbowl?
unlock all discussions on Fishbowl.
I would be very careful about how she words that....like maybe use 0 words to discuss it.
That has to be the biggest screw up of the year for PwC, right? Unless I'm forgetting something... 🤔
She should talk about US President as an example. It is ok to share secrets with your enemies
She should say she acted presidential.
Pretty sure they can't talk about it and I'd advise strongly that she not talk about it. She should work on her pitch, and get comfortable talking about all she learned and grew from her experience at PwC. If she tries to "explain," can only go south. Will sound like she's defensive ... Nope. No way to spin it. So leave it in the past!
She shouldn't bring it up but should have a story ready in case it comes up on a background check.
Douchebacks. Cool word. Dipshit.

Seems a bit harsh? What was your performance rating?
It was that bad that it warranted firing??
Op, I may be dense here, but why is this even up for discussion? The fact that she is even thinking about bringing this up again tells me she was fired for being an imbecile. Like not only was she dumb enough to send the wrong client something, but she wanted to let more people in on the secret? I can't figure out if this is fake or not.
Seems like it could happen by utter chance/accident. Did she try to mitigate right away?
But no she shouldn't mention it at all.
s&1- that's harsh. Op and their friend might be young and new to their careers. You can't expect a junior person to know certain things or they wouldn't be junior! // Op- your friend should NOT mention it at all. Tell them to google and read blogs from HR experts on how to maneuver in upcoming interviews and the key is- pick a story and STICK TO IT! Don't change it... you'll trip up. So work on it and refine it till you're happy with it.
I find it hard to believe that was the only reason she was canned. May have been the straw that broke the camels back but accidents happen and the firm has processes in place to deal with them. She may have been on PIP prior to this.
That's why you password protect data before sending.. tell your "friend" to save with password
An obvious data point of why Strategy& folks are considered douchebacks, just like some McKinsey folks.
Fired or asked to resign...makes a big difference in her background check
P2 Dunno the details but seems that way.
Perhaps it was harsh, but even as a 21 year old out of college, I'd assume that anyone in our career would be clever enough to know what to say / not to say during an interview.
