A job I'm applying for is asking on the interview form what i would do to upsell items and get people to buy more stuff. I am autistic and really don't know how i would go about answering this because I wouldn't try to get people to buy stuff just to buy stuff, I would want them to buy things because they needed it. I don't know what to write in response to the question because it just feels so icky and kind of against my own moral code.

I am an excellent salesperson for things I believe in... I refuse to sell something useless or faulty.... I can't sell you a Samsung washer or travertine for your shower. I will sell you an overpriced corner cabinet with a fancy pull-out accessory because it will make your life better.

It's important to know your limitations. With the right company, your moral compass won't be tested so often.

That's a big red flag. You already know it makes you feel uncomfortable before you even start the job. I would definitely not apply for it / not accept it if offered. We only have so many hours in our lives and what we do has to count. You will be miserable if you waste that precious time in a position where you would be expected to do something that is against your principles. Keep on trying, keep on applying. The right job will come up.

Well I worked and got appreciated by the client , always exceeded expectations on clients side (have thank you's and appreciation on mail) . My rating is 3 stating "aapko ek hi saal hua h". Got opportunity for a global meeting to attend in Europe but my PM destroyed that opportunity for me. Past 3 days haven't worked a bit ,felt disappointed and am feeling depressed, it would have been my first abroad visit and the Visa is going to haunt me for the rest of my life.

My manager scheduled a feedback conversation and I know it's bc I've made some noticeable mistakes lately due to moving too fast, not being able to focus, racing thoughts, etc. I'm seeing a therapist about whether I have ADHD and if so, what tx looks like; we started the intake process which will be continued in my 2nd appointment, which is after the feedback convo meeting. Is it worth telling my mgr something eg I recognize the careless mistakes and I'm in the process of seeing tx to help?

Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

I have a game I love to play at the airport. I find someone who has the most vague resemblance to someone famous and then insist they are that person.

Guy who very very vaguely resembles Tom Hanks insists he isn't. Then I keep insisting he is.

This is a fun way to pass time during layovers.

What’s a good starting salary for a newer attorney? I’ve never worked anywhere but in the public sector (even before becoming an attorney). I currently clerk for a judge and now am up to $44k as of July 1. I’m in KY. I’ve recently had a couple attorneys reach out to me about joining their practice. I’m not ready to leave my current role but I have no idea what to consider as a reasonable salary. I’ve been licensed a year and this is my first law-related job so I’m a complete newbie.

Compliance question here, I have always thought of the SALT deduction on the fed return as a perm item & have treated as such in such sch M-3. I see that some people put it as a temp on sch M-3. What is the justification for treating it as a temp on the M-3. You don’t set up a deferred on the def RF for the state tax deduct & it is also a rate impacting item (I know that some temps can be rate impacting). But this all leaves me to side with perm. Does anyone know the logic behind temp treatment?
