A little over one year out of college- asking older fishes how do I deal with worrying about being laid off and concentrating on doing good work at the same time?

Hi Fishes, Anyone who joined PwC AC Bangalore recently and is/was on bench for 2-3 months? I'm worried about getting "FIRED". Does PwC fire in such cases? Connected with Deployer, Coach and RL many times they say I should wait and need not worry whenever requirement will come they will inform me. I have been on bench for 2+ months now.

I'm honestly trying to work as few hours as possible and not be fired.

Zillow recruiter reached out but safe to say i’m not entertaining requests from companies that do major layoffs and get on the news for PR

Has anyone survived a large round of layoffs at their company? Very curious about how you navigated that brave new world.

I’m unassigned for a whole month but roll onto a new job after and have a busy season in my schedule for 2021. Should I be worried about this month of downtime?? In times of COVID layoffs?

Had low energy and motivation since last year... to a point where even the fear of being laid off isn’t doing much. Am I just lazy? Or is this a symptom of something greater/different? It’s been hard to get sleep as I stay up worrying about a million different things. I also get hot headed more frequently and my SO suggested that I go to therapy, which I scheduled for later this week. Anybody in the same shoes? Any advice? Vicious cycle of underachievement and resulting low morale.

My best friend found out they’re getting laid off, and I’m not sure how to comfort them sans alcohol...they’ve kind of locked themselves away and my heart is breaking for them, I just want to help 😞
