Pinning this. Thank you for sharing. Amazing how so much of this is the hidden work that we do on top of our jobs to keep family/home life functioning. Juggling client calls and internal check-ins while we make breakfast and get our kiddos up for the day. Even for those of us who have the luxury of some help (personally I have a part-time nanny for a few hours per week), it still means trying to get as much done as possible. So far today, I woke up at 4:45, worked, multitasked my “alone time” once nanny arrived by mopping/cleaning, while having a 1:1 catch-up. It literally never ends. Oh did I mention I’m trying to wean? I am a full-time worker, mostly full-time mom, other than maybe 10 hours a week, and I am very closing to burning out, and I know that I am one of the fortunate ones.
The way it was written, I truly felt this in every part of my body and I’m also on the fortunate side, for sure. What is the ACTION?!
Truth. I saw this a few days ago and was glad to see a major publication on this. I am indeed just too exhausted to complain or make any significant changes.
