Hi there! Interviewing w/Amazon for a non-tech role (Associate Category Manager aka Associate Buyer) and was asked what my salary requirements are for base+bonus+equity. Can anyone share insight on what Amazonians make in this role. I have 4 YOE and glassdoor is not very helpful.
Any feedback is appreciated 🙏 Amazon

Hard to say without knowing details. If you are asking for 75k and they say their cap is 70 they may decide to work with you a little. But if their cap is 70 and you say your ask is 120 they will likely just walk away.
I would consider and listen for the gap. If its reasonable Is there bonus potential to get you to your request. Any opportunity that would boost? Is it remote or on-site? There's annual savings there. But if it's way low just decline. I interviewed for a position, "competitive salary" was 12k less than my current position. That's a hard no.
I would stand relatively strong, but perhaps ask what the highest they could go and see if supplementary bonuses (sign-on or annual), additional PTO, or other perks can be offered. I did this in my current position and it worked!
It's usually good to stay in the conversation and see how things develop. There's no point in sticking to a number and closing things down before you really know what's involved. For all you know, you might want to accept a lower offer because the potential for growth is extremely promising. Might as well go to the first interview and get an idea of what they're talking about.
You could always ask them what their range is for the role and see if it is something you would even be willing to accept. I wouldn't bend though until you know what their range is.

Is it salary convo with the recruiter or hiring manager. I’m confused.
