Hyatt typically has the best point value
You get reward miles through the portal, though - so depending on how the math works out booking that way actually makes sense sometimes.
Would probably be a lot more rare for that to happen if you’re flying business, though
Redeem on the portal itself for either boutique hotels or domestic travel in F. You’ll get 1.5cpp this way.
I’ll transfer to United for international travel - probably the best cpp you’ll be able to get. Hyatt is another solid transfer partner as you should be able to get north of 2cpp. You can transfer to Marriott as well, but it’s only worth it if you’re just barely short on points as the value isn’t really there.
Thanks. I heard British Airways Avios also had a good transfer rate and could spend them on any OneWorld airline?
25k=RT reward flight, not one-way
OP I encourage you to think of this with a goal in mind. The best redemption you’ll get is to find out where you want to go, and then compare rates across flights/hotels with that destination in mind. Redemptions vary across partners: for instance United may be 125k for a business seat while AA may be 45k, and vice versa.
For hotels, D1 is right, Hyatt has the best redemption rates, unless you’re looking for a place without major chains.
