It would difficult if not impossible for someone to give you a fair answer to differentiate them. Most people will not have the experience of working at more than 2 of these places. If they do, they probably didn’t spend enough time to know or their experience is dated.
Here’s my two cents: for most jobs - just like for consulting - you can understand the culture by asking questions about the review process. You’ll easily see what people focus on and that’ll give you the answer you are looking for
Narrowing to.. Tech Consulting..
Well don't do IBM, I'll tell you that
It depends what you are looking for, i worked at Deloitte and HATED the competitive culture. I love IBM, it’s crazy and chaotic but at the end of the day the people in my practice are wonderful
Might be better off at least narrowing down to a particular practice
Great point, I definitely understand that.. I am not expecting to have a person to work on all these companies to provide his/her thoughts, but anyone with a good point of view based on their past experiences between some of these firms would be appreciated..
Very happy with EY culture, but I’m only in one small practice. Can’t talk for the whole firm
Have friends at all of the big 4. Honestly they all seem the same from talking to them
LOL.
Deloitte or ACN for tech, far and above the others. Between Deloitte and ACN it's dependent on whose model you like better, who your boss will be, and who's giving you the better offer.
Came to PWC in tech consulting from acn, dying to go back
So I noticed that your abbreviated Deloitte as DLTE, come here often?
pwc1, why?
1. Internal job board where you can search and apply for roles. You can somewhat pick and choose your role. Right now, been on the bench for over a month and feel obligated to take whatever role is offered, but not aware of any available opportunities.
2. PTO does not affect chargeability
3. Staff has lower rates which may lead to more resources on projects
4. Don't have to log your time daily (lol)
I've only been here less than a year but these are my thoughts. I would say the people ive met at PwC are more driven and smarter but I want to focus on tech implementations which ACN is better at
