I didn't move to the country side per se, but I did move away from a big HCOL city to a smaller mid-size city and the culture difference is still substantial. People actually say hi when you walk by them on the street lol! I think having a little bit less resources is worth the trade for me because I feel much more calm overall as a person now that I'm not in a big bustling city. I also feel like the slower pace allows for more quality relationships so I'm enjoying it
I know that feeling very well OP and they are WAY different. I feel like people either love it or they hate it because some people really thrive in a fast paced environment so they often miss it. I, however, do not miss the ER at all. I do much better in a slower more peaceful environment.
