I had final techno manager round which was completed on 30 Mar, and after ugadi holiday, on 6th I have received the positive feedback and confirmation mail and asked to share the payslips and relevant documents. Still waiting for the offer letter. Called HR on 20th April for the updates, she told she is working on my offer and it will release soon. Any ideas on this fishes?Cerner Corporation

I recently applied to the Content Designer, 2023 Graduate remote role at Atlassian and I'd appreciate it if I could get a referral.
Here are some details to aid in your decision-making:
- Last summer, I worked at Google as a UX Content Design Intern.
- I am currently in a grad program at
NYU and will graduate in Spring 2023.
- Before graduate school, I spent 3+ years as a Copywriter in Advertising.
I'd really appreciate any recommendation I can get at this time.

Send a nice thank you email with your resume attached for their convenience (ideally you would have done this in the intro email so they could know a bit about you first), but don’t ask directly for a referral.
If you truly felt like you established a connection with someone, send them an article about something you talked about / something you saw that’s relevant to their career. This was a piece of advice a recruiter gave me when I was a student, and it’s a great way to stay on someone’s radar without asking for more of their time.
Don’t ask for a referral; they will if they like you.
Thanks for all your help everyone!
Not direct. Don’t ask for a referral. If they like you and want to refer you they will
I don’t know how others feel but if anyone ever asked me for a referral it would be pretty off putting. Makes it all feel even more transactional and fake
If you’re still a student then referrals pretty much don’t exist. But if you left a good impression on someone from the recruiting team they’ll relay it back.
McKinsey 2, yeah that’s kind of what I’m worried about :/ not sure how to make it happen naturally
@BCG1, thanks that makes sense. How would you recommend making a good impression without having in person events?
Unless the person you are meeting with is very high level, the referral probably won't matter anyway. Ideally the informational interview gives you insights for how to better get selected and how to better perform in an interview.
Depends on the firm. Not true for McKinsey (a BA referral almost guarantees an interview)

Just say “what do I do to get an interview at xyz” only useful for a recruiter or partner
