LOL! Love the work itself, but the hours and mentality in PA are miserable.

If we started charging more and paying employees more, maybe people would join our profession?

I don't believe "chill Summers" are coming back, especially with what changes Biden will implement next year

Money isn’t everything. If you are not enjoying your life or having time to yourself, the larger salaries are not worth it. I think more people are putting a larger value on WLB over salary now a days. Do what works best for you, not what people tell you will work best for you.
Coach
It isn’t, but if you’re working a ton of hours regardless, you might as well get paid more. I like tax work and I was underpaid, I now get paid 30% more doing the same work and I get to work remote. I’ll agree that if you work significantly more than you did before for an increase in salary, but I think all firms are just busy so it’s pretty much the same every where.
Any chance you can suck it up and make it a manager? It’s a couple years of shit but you’ll be making a decent paycheck once you get the manager status and have a pretty cushy job
Coach
That's always been the plan. Get to manager then find a decent job in industry. I think the Big 4 are doing better re-upping on experience staff in my city so might jump ship to them if I'm pulling the same crap here
Yep. I started applying to industry last month, and went as far as booked a trip to Hawaii for mid February to force myself out of PA by end of year 😂

Good for you! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🔥🔥🔥
2 years? You’ve got a long ways in front of you kid
@EB1 - thanks for dropping a note. I tried the above stuff earlier and not much came across, given I am on a work visa. Many recruiters would just not respond when learning this, so I want to via a referral, I personally feel referrals are a strong source of landing at a good opportunity.
