After years in the lab, I can say I'm feeling done with it. Unfortunately, it doesn't excite me anymore to make 'breakthroughs'. I'm drawn to the broader impact of portfolio strategy but unsure about the right moves needed for this pivot. What skill should I focus on to be competent in it? Any insights from those who've made a similar transition would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone!! This is exactly the group I've been looking for. I'll be starting my new (and first) consulting job at ZS Associates at the end of the month and I'm so nervous that I'll crash and burn. I'm very proud to be an ENFP, but the flaws that come along with it (distraction, procrastination, disorganization) seem like a recipe for disaster. Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. The first company I was at didn’t have a solid HR team so I don’t really count that. I feel like I’m ready to take on more responsibility and learn more. And of course make more money.

I have looked into getting SHRM certification. But should I go back to school and get my masters in Hr?

I am interviewing for a compliance role in Trading and Supply. I am only knowledgeable on AML risk but the other compliance risks I do not have a clue about like licensing, privacy, market abuse etc. For example, what does licensing pertain to. Is that the trader’s licensing??
