What is an associate analyst
Associate analyst isn’t a thing
I would say no. MSF and CFA should have you covered
Do u mean an investment banking associate? As in, the role 2-3 years after being an analyst at a bank? Way too vague by just saying “associate” there’s tons of diff groups of parts of an investment bank. Assuming you mean a front office role, like an IB associate. With just an msf and cfa it doesn’t really mean much to be honest, u need to have skills that analysts at these banks have since you’ll essentially be on top of them. If ur at EY now, highly suggest you get into a valuation role within TAS, otherwise either an MBA or just ur own networking will get you there. If you don’t have the modeling or transactional skill, ur resume won’t get picked for an IB associate role without some push with a referral, and even then it’s debatable if you would come in as an associate
Regardless - for an analyst role no but it might be a hard lateral. Your best bet would probably be going for an MBA and doing an internship then joining the IB as an associate
Now, if you’re talking about another part of the bank and not an investment banking associate, then yes you definitely can get in. But it mostly depends on what skill set you have now, what work experience you have, and how you can tie that into what function/role at the bulge bracket bank you want to be an associate at
This is not a crisis. The end.
