So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Everyone’s a moralist until it costs them something. Well, at least you know who you are now.

Yes, let’s conveniently ignore the fact I laid out an argument using international politics right next to it.
“Globalism has its limits. Namely when it affects ME”
Talk about discourse lol.

Yes, I think you’re the only person. Because honestly, I’ve not seen any LinkedIn post like that in a long time. There are lots of foreigners in agencies, but all of the ones I’ve seen are people who already have a long trajectory here. Nobody is bringing people in right now, because nobody is hiring in the first place.
Don’t worry, Trump is deporting any non-white immigrants to random countries like South Sudan, in case you’re worried about the Brazilians. But watch out for the white South Africans. He’s a big fan of them.
Just a thought, but have you tried maybe just being better at your job…?
This is not real or infuriating. Get off the internet.
You shouldn’t be mad at the individuals seeking jobs. Be mad at the companies hiring them. They know they can underpay, overwork, and exploit visa workers because they can’t quit as easily as a native worker. Everyone suffers while they the C-Suite saves a couple bucks for their end of year bonus
I Agee. It’s not the candidates. It’s the companies.
writing this comment since there’s no thumbs down reaction
Europe has the same rule and abides by it that’s why it’s more difficult to get a job abroad
That doesn’t fit my narrative.
Yes just you. Don’t worry Trump is working in your favor.
I think we want companies who contribute to leveling out the job market. Leveling out the job market boosts the overall economy.

I feel bad for them tbh. Someone sold them on the possibilities of the U.S, and it couldn’t be ac worse time to be here.
What I have an issue with is people from outside the tri-state taking or keeping NYC jobs. If you choose to live elsewhere, get a job there. Too expensive to live here and then find out someone living in Florida took a job you are perfectly qualified for, while you are having a hard time finding something.
