You can also get chase bonuses again after 48 months if you downgrade your account where Amex bonuses are one and done (you’re never eligible again)
Bonus is probably better for chase rn
But i have amex gold main expenses are groceries & restaurants so if thats your thing bonus is pretty good on that as well
All depends on what you spend on
I have both. Chase is the best way to go right now. Promo code if you need one: Enjoy Our Best Offer Ever! Earn 100,000 bonus points with Chase Sapphire Preferred. https://www.referyourchasecard.com/m/6c/6L5/GJZB/1568545450
I have both. Use Amex exclusively for groceries, chase for everything else
Definitely both. The bonus categories for the Amex gold are too good to pass up, and your best value would be transferring to airlines.
Sapphire preferred is a must have as well for their transfer partners (my favorite transfer is to hyatt where you can get insane value for points), and the ease of use if you want to use it at 1.25 value. Additionally, if you hold the sapphire you should also get the $0 annual fee freedom unlimited, which gets 1.5% casback, which you can combine with your sapphire points to get even more value.

Best every day spend card is the Amex blue small business. $0 fee and $2x on everything up to $50k
