Amex platinum for everything. Annual fee pays for itself 2x over through perks. Some of the big ones is free Uber eats pass (no delivery fee), $200 annual Uber/Uber eats credit, $200 airline credit, $200 hotel credit, $100 to saks, Clear membership free , tsa pre check free, priority pass free, and Amex lounges in airports that have free alcohol and food.
Plus there’s always monthly bonuses you can add to the card, like right now I’m getting 7x points on Amazon purchases and 3x points at Shell gas stations.
I have both but only because I know I will use the value of both.
Agreed - I also have both and have been very happy with them (have had both approx 4 years). Only worth getting both if you’re going to max out the credits/benefits (e.g., travel credits, global entry, Lyft, DoorDash, Uber, etc.) though. Among other things, I use Reserve for dining and AMEX for travel and Delta Sky Club access.
Chase reserve is great, but the annual fee goes up this year to 550

My 25 year old daughter is math genius and management consultant. She’s a very happy CSR carrier who says that if you use the card correctly you get the entire annual fee back. Here’s her explanation:
You automatically get $300 back in travel credits, on a flight or gas or anything. I get Lyft pink for free which is $100 per year, and I get $60 in DoorDash credits (the first 60 gets credited back to your statement). So that is $460, and then the points are worth at least $90 per year if you use for travel. I have 300,000 chase points, which is the equivalent of about 2 roundtrip tickets to Asia in business class. And Lyft pink gets me 15% off all rides.
Hard to argue with any of that.
For me the benefit of CSR is priority pass restaurants which Amex doesn’t have. Since I fly out of jfk and dca a lot, that $28 pp gets used plenty. But things like that (and Lyft/seamless/DoorDash) are heavily dependent on where you are)
Sapphire reserve for travel, Amex gold for food
Amex

Amex but I do gold. Not nearly as high as platinum but most of the benefits that I use.
Gold is good for food. Platinum is worth it if you travel a lot. People get caught up on the platinum vs gold and forget about the benefits. Amex will suggest which one is best if you apply over the phone. They’ll ask about your spending habits.

Amex P's fee just went up.

I have both, but with recent fee increases may get rid of both. The benefits penciled out much better at $450, which is what they were at a few years ago, than $550 for Chase and $695(!!) for Amex.
I have amex plat for travel and chase Sapphire preferred for daily spend. Recently just got an amex rose gold because it's so PRETTY and also for better restaurant benefits with Amex.
Hell yeah! Makes me so happy pulling that card out of my wallet. I got an AU for my husband which fully intend to keep in my second wallet (the smaller, pocketable wallet) so I'm never without it! Att3, what's keeping you from getting it now?
I’m a happy CSR user — Priority Pass is fun and I like Chase’s transfer partners. With my + spouse’s modest/moderate spending (excluding the first year with sign up bonus), we tend to extract one $$ rt international ticket (very handy with family abroad!) every year with a chunk leftover.

Citi Prestige. If you are a Citigold customer the annual fee is lower.
Both.
