Any advice for an accountant a year out of college? I'm currently working for a utility company and over time I've taken on the responsibilities of 3 people but my pay has remained the same with no end in sight. I'm currently studying for my CPA but it's been hard to balance studies with having to work in an understaffed team.

I just changed careers from elementary school teacher to human resources generalist back in June. I have no experience in HR and I am looking to grow in my career. I'm working at a startup and would love to grow into a learning and development role, but I have no idea where to begin. Any advice?

I don't like my job, the responsibilities and tasks aren't right for me or my lifestyle.

Key positives for my current employer are pay and security. But my new role within the company isn't working for me, and ultimately I don't think it is for the company either.

A much much smaller (20 people) company offered me a role.

With the global economic situation as is, is it worth the risk to change to a job I know i'd like more with less pay, and potentially less job security?

Have cleared HCL interview. Initially they offered 23 lpa (via proposed offer letter, to be approved by L4), but i requested to reconsider it for 25 lpa. After 5 days, they sent final offer letter of 19 lpa (stating they can offer max 50% as per L4 approval).

I don't have any other offer as of now. What should I do?
