I started taking supplements and my stylist has commented on how she can tell a difference in hair length and baby hair growth. I added saw palmetto, biotin, niacin, and liquid collagen.
Since you’re going to the doctor I won’t go into details beyond Iron and Vitamin D being a big help.
Perhaps check out the Harklinikken Center for tailored hair care products - my friend saw great results. And yes, it is pricey.

Possibly biotin, but you should stop it maybe a week prior to getting any blood work.
Definitely talk to your doctor and be honest about pretty much everything. Take a deep breath and know you're doing the best you can. :)
Also, is your hair long? I cut mine shorter to about shoulder length when I started losing hair. It helped it not be so heavy on my scalp.
Using coconut oil and only washing it 1-2 times a week will help your hair strengthen and prevent loss/breakage. Also use vitamin supplements and don't blow dry / straighten often. Don't brush it when it's wet, only use a wide-toothed comb when you do need to detangle.
I had a random period where my hair was falling out, and I was recommended Nioxin. It didn't fix the problem, but it made my hair look fuller while I was sorting the hair loss out. I recommend it!
Try eating more oatmeal. Oats are one of the best foods for hair loss recovery as it has a rich source of natural fiber that helps foster hair growth.
Try switching to green tea. Green tea leaves are a good source of epigallocatechin-3-gallate, a polyphenol that modulates the unstable hormonal activities. Try to take it twice a day.
Hair fall is my wake up that I'm not taking care of my body as I should. It comes from stress. I make sure I listen to my body and what it's trying to say. Try to relieve your stress and see if something happens.
I would definitely try to rid myself off of stress first before anything else. It's one of the biggest reasons for hair loss. Tackle the obvious first. Maybe you can show your hair and scalp a bit more tlc.
How long have you been experiencing the hair loss? I'm pretty sure you've been trying for a while now since doctor's are usually our last resort.
Most hair fall issues can be resolved by installing a water softener in your home. This is the information that nobody wants you to have. The buildup of calcium and magnesium minerals on hair strands and close to the roots makes them more prone to breaking. It also alters the chemistry of water, causing your shampoo, conditioner, and hair oils to act differently on your hair.
Try caster oil mixed with a few drops of rosemary essential oil for topical use. Both are said to stimulate hair growth.
Clarify your scalp. Our hair naturally accumulates junk, including sebum, over years of hair products, conditioning, and other hair care practices. Therefore, as the sebum builds up and clogs our follicles, we aren't able to develop new hair.
I've started taking biotin-fortified vitamins, which seems to be helping. Since I started taking them on a daily basis, I've noticed I don't lose as much hair in the shower.
Honestly? Rogaine for women. It's effective. Fun fact: Because women have less testosterone to inhibit, Rogaine is more effective on us than on men.
I've tried a couple of differnet things - definitely agree on the biotin supplement as well as incorporating more probiotics into my diet. Also I shampoo a bit less - most of hair loss indicates something underlying, but you cna at least get some surface level help through diet and supplements
Let me ask first if you're a female or male, because being the latter definitely helps with hair loss. Anyways, are you sure you are getting enough sleep?
Hair loss is commonly a symptom of severe stress. Have you been in some stressful situations lately? If not, maybe it is something genetic or something in your bloodstream
