Networking is the best I can say. In terms of skill set, forecasting, assessment, and knowledge of the technologies are valued. Try to get assessment / valuation type of consulting projects. Also MBA is a good way to pivot if you not yet have an advanced degree
I am currently in a MS in Biotechnology program part-time while working for big pharma…it’s a combo of scientific classes & business classes focused on biotechnology industries. I have already flagged a EMBA as a future option too. Will work on getting some assessment / valuation experience, my group gets pulled in to help BD pretty regularly, so hoping to do that a few times before shooting my shot
