Started about 8 months ago from another firm but already interviewing for industry roles. Is it worth sticking it out for a few more months? For more context, I have about 5 years exp, all consulting
I posted in the Healthcare bowl but didn’t get quality responses. PE is notorious for being difficult to break into unless you’re IB. However, there are success stories of consultants making it. Healthcare consulting is lucrative because it requires a very niche knowledge base that is honestly rather difficult to acquire. I’m wondering if that niche knowledge base would make it easier to exit to a healthcare-focused PE firm. Thoughts? Also, general tips for moving to PE would be helpful!
Folks - how do you prep for case interviews in half a week? Any resources you would point me towards? It’s been over 5 years since I last had interviews. Sure I am in consulting but I honestly don’t do this thing on the day to day so am very sure will be very rusty.
Can anyone share their interview exp and type of questions asked for qa post at Salesforce company??

Can someone please suggest some exit opportunities for a lifelong Internal Auditor? I have 4 yrs of consulting and 2 years of industry experience.
Any advice on a Bain full time first round interview? I go to a non-target school, and am an engineering major. I’ve tried applying to consulting internships since sophomore year and have never received any interviews from anywhere. I’ve been casing all summer with friends and am super nervous before the interview. Would appreciate anything that could help me stand out or anything to avoid that would get me rejected. I know Bain heavily focuses on the case and not as much the behavioral.
Hi Fishes! I’m a newly promoted S1 in tax at a Top 10. I’m trying to join the Big 4 post 10/15 (preferably KPMG) Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to make it in? I had an interview with EY two weeks ago (before I was officially a senior), but never heard back, probably because they were looking for a senior lol. 😭 Thank you everyone!!!
I'm in Silicon Valley, and been in the industry for about 15 years now. Fell into the corporate in-house role and been in those ever since. I primarily do marketing/brand design. I'd love to get to AD level, but I think my main issues has been that I rock the boat a lot and don't play the "corporate game well", piss off the wrong people. Does anyone have any advise for how to advance in corporate environement while keeping the integrity of creative alive?
Currently pregnant with baby 2 and a start-up which I was really keen on about 9 months ago came back around to offer me a position. I am about 4.5 months away from leave with my current firm. Am terribly nervous about accepting an getting more even half of the leave I could have gotten before. To top it all off they are offering 50% salary until they raise their target (about 30% to their goal right now). This position is in my dream field and a great fit for me, but the timing couldn’t be wors

Hearing back from Deloitte and PwC Canada with interviews after we’ve made the decision to relocate the US. Should I accept the interviews, I’m very conflicted now.
What are the most lucrative exit opps for a generalist/strategy consultant at big 4 public sector consulting with security clearance? I’ve heard positive things about Google and Amazon/AWS and about some of the big defense firms (Lockheed). Is it actually possible to boost comp by 50% or so on exit from big 4 in this space?
Hi all - I’m working as a Jr AE at a remote agency. Before full-time at this agency, I interned there for 2 years and often did pro-bono work. I love my company so much, but I often feel stuck when it comes to salary and growth. The salary is minimum wage and every time I ask about a raise they agree I need one but never get around to it. Today, I was offered a position at another agency as a remote AE with more than double my current salary. I didn’t seek this job out but don’t know what to do.
Anyone know anything about the new Organic office opening up in LA? Work/culture/hours/people?
Can someone provide feedback on this offer? Analyst role, fed govt contract analyst. Currently <2yoe in audit. Role is max 40 hours a week. Pay will be 80-90k. I like the hours and deviation from accounting, worried about what a government role might do to my career projections. Thanks!
How hard should you actually work in consulting? Obviously we have utilization requirements so we work long hours but I’m tired of giving 100% of my brain power. Is there any benefit of working harder? IMO there’s an incentive to work slower
What is GC immigration process at Nttdata? How is ogletree doing? Does NTT doing downgrade from eb2 to eb3?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Any advice on where to get affordable high quality vision insurance? Just need annual check-ups and prescription glasses
Just lateraled to a bigger law firm. The team I am on is much larger now and split between 4 offices. My prior firm was great at rationing the workload amongst associates. At my nee firm, it feels like a free for all. I want to make myself known as a hardworking associate but also don’t know how to say no to new work politely. It seems like every conversation I have when I meet a new team member consists of them telling me how much they need my help and putting me on a new project
Mother superannuated today and was able to watch her farewell speech. Feeling very emotional (i.e. tearing up at midday) as I recall our humble beginnings and how much my middle class family has sacrificed and achieved. My parents sent their only daughter for higher education abroad and it is tough to see them grow old. Getting exposed to so many new facets of life as a 25F…. just one of those days. Kind words only please 🙏
Rejected by 2 exit ops after on-sites where 2 of 3 recruiters sent a personal message/email saying something like "you seem great/qualified but not the right fit". One said "the HM said you seem really bright and would hire asap if we were looking for a generalist". Another said "this isn't about weakness or lack of experience, just questions on fit". Do recruiters say this to a lot of people or is this genuine? Trying to gauge whether my interview performance is at least solid.
Searching for hobby suggestions/ideas. I’ve been struggling to focus lately and it’s been difficult for me to focus on my usual hobbies (reading, building an app side project etc). Ideally, looking for a hobby that can help with de-stressing and decompressing during my unwind time after logging off in the evenings; not something super strenuous. Thanks in advance!
What most provocative question you have asked to your superior about office politics which is ruining the culture for personal growth and innovation? And what response you received?
Social media/community manager looking for a job or temp work remote or in NYC! Any tips for good agencies to find temp work?
Potential agency boomerang having a hard time making a decision to stay brand-side or go back. Need some advice! Do I leave the brand, being "the client," fun work, great WLB, as well as the most toxic work environment I've ever experienced and meh pay? Do I go back to agency lead a new team with significant responsibilities, forget about WLB, sell my soul alongside smart people, get great pay and benefits? PS: I'm a mom and brand-side for 5 years. What do I need to know!? Thank you!
To the folks who pivoted from tech consulting pre-MBA to IB post-graduation, how has your experience been? What would have been helpful for you to know prior to making the switch?
I was confident that my late-stage interview with Uber went well - just received a rejection email. Perhaps I'm rationalizing, but is it safe to chalk this up as a good miss given the volatility of their business?
